Laying Turf

If you lay your lawn turf properly at the outset, then you will do much to ensure that you have a beautiful lawn for life.

levelling soil prior to turf laying. Use a scaffold board or other strong staright edge to help

 

 

 

Don't be afraid to walk on the area that you are raking level - is should withstand your weight!
Work off boards when laying turf, and move the boards forward as you lay. This will help press the turf into close contact with the soil

lighten up heavy clay soils with the addition of sharp sand brushed into the soil
